Heating Assistance / LIHEAP
The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, also known as LIHEAP, helps low-income families pay their heating bills. LIHEAP is a grant that offers assistance in the form of a cash grant, sent directly to the utility company, or a crisis grant for households in immediate danger of being without heat.
How to Apply: There are three different ways you can apply for LIHEAP, online, on paper, or in person.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), about 1 in 345 children in the United States have been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy caused by medical malpractice is often preventable.

Offers a number of programs to the low income. Among them include assistance for late utility payments when facing a shut off, job finding and training, housing, and case management. The non-profit also offers emergency assistance for the needs of migrant and seasonal farm workers. Programs are also available for rural disadvantaged people who may not be eligible for other emergency financial aid or government programs. Available services include nutritional assistance, emergency shelter, mortgage help, first month and back rental assistance, and one time utility bill assistance.

The Baby University program is an early care and education program that focuses on building parenting skills, child development, and school readiness. The program provides 10 weeks of education and support for parents with children 0 to 4 years of age. Classes are supplemented with home visits and helps parents by providing them with effective strategies and tools to further develop their competence as their child's first and most important teacher.
